Paswan wants Raj Thackeray booked under NSA

Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Sunday demanded the arrest of MNS chief Raj Thackeray under National Security Act (NSA) for instigating the attacks.

SALBONI (WB): Accusing the Maharashtra government of failing to maintain law and order in the wake of the MNS attack on north Indians, Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Sunday demanded the arrest of MNS chief Raj Thackeray under National Security Act (NSA) for instigating the attacks.

"Let Raj Thackeray be arrested under the NSA," Paswan told reporters on the sidelines of the foundation stone laying ceremony for the 10 million tonne steel plant of the JSW Bengal Steel here.

He said that Thackeray should be handed over to the Jharkhand government as there were six complaints against him in various police stations of the state. Of these, three were in Jamshedpur and one each in Jamtara, Garwah and Dhanbad.

"The NCP and the Congress are jointly running the government in Maharashtra. They are not properly maintaining law and order in the state. We want law and order to be maintained properly," the Lok Janshakti Party leader said.
