Passport Mela in Bengaluru and Mysuru on February 8

BENGALURU: The Regional Passport office, Bengaluru, will hold a passport mela on February 8 at the passport seva kendras at Lalbagh and Marathahalli in Bengaluru and at Mysuru. The RPO will release appointments for normal category for the said mela at 4.30 pm on January 31, regional passport officer Bharath Kumar Kuthati said in a press release.

He also added that the Ministry of External Affairs has begun sending SMS to passport holders alerting them months before the expiry of their passports. The MEA sends one SMS nine months before, and another seven months before the date of expiry of passports.
