Deputy Managing Director, Technical, AESM, Singapore Orson Lobo who was the guest of honour said that the cadets have accomplished their first mile stone (of passing out from the academy) but life on board ships is not that easy.
A career in shipping is quite demanding and one should not feel depressed with small failures, he said, adding, it is important for cadets to take care of the environment and to follow right practices and procedures while on board.
Anglo-Eastern Maritime Academy is a nautical college owned by mother company - Anglo Eastern Ship Management Ltd, Hong Kong and offers courses in field of shipping.
