Parvinder Sohi Behuria new National Human Rights Commission secretary general

NEW DELHI: Senior IRS officer Parvinder Sohi Behuria has been appointed as Secretary General of National Human Rights Commission ( NHRC).

Behuria, a 1977 batch IRS ( Income Tax) officer, is presently Member (Revenue) in Central Board of Direct Taxes under the Department of Revenue.

She has been appointed in the rank and pay of Secretary. The vacancy has necessitated following superannuation of Ashok Sahu, a 1975 batch officer of Indian Economic Service (IES), an official release issued today by Ministry of Personnel said.
