Parties are stealing our promises: PMK
CHENNAI: The PMK, which is going it alone in a multi-cornered Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu, is a worried lot as other parties are stealing its poll ideas.

PMK's chief ministerial candidate Anbumani Ramadoss, talking to reporters at the release of the party's election manifesto in the city on Friday, said: “Every party has copied the prohibition agenda we have mooted. Even the AIADMK has promised a step-by-step imposition of prohibition if voted to power. But certainly that does not mean that prohibition is now dead as an election issue... People of this state know that only the PMK is serious about imposing prohibition when we come to power.“

When asked if it wasn't a good thing that both DMK and AIADMK are talking about the positive issu es that the PMK has been proposing, Ramadoss said: “If they really mean it, why didn't they implement it when they were in power? Why talk about it just before this election?“ PMK convenor Dr S Ramadoss compared the DMK manifesto with the PMK's draft manifesto re leased in September last year.

Making a page-by-page comparison, the senior Ramadoss said: “the only thing they (DMK) have not copied is our chief minister candidate Anbumani Ramadoss running a 10-km marathon. Everything else is copied.“
