New Delhi: Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan on Thursday administered the oath to newly elected member Parth Ajit Pawar, who represents Maharashtra in the Upper House.

Pawar took the oath in English in the chambers of the Chairman in Parliament House.

His mother Sunetra Ajit Pawar, who is the Maharashtra deputy chief minister, was also present.


Parth Ajit Pawar is the son of former deputy chief minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar.

Leader of the house in Rajya Sabha Jagat Prakash Nadda, deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, other floor leaders of various parties - Jairam Ramesh, Praful Patel, besides Lok Sabha member Tatkare Sunil Dattatrey, Member, Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha Secretary General P C Mody and other senior officers of the secretariat were also present on the occasion.
