Merchandise exports to India's free trade agreement (FTA) partner countries grew 25% to $43.14 billion in April-June FY27 from $34.65 billion in FY26. Consequently, the share of FTA partners in India's total exports increased to 33.4% from 31.1%.

FTA partner countries and trade blocs accounted for 40.5% of India's total merchandise exports in 2025-26, with exports to these markets reaching $179.1 billion. During the same period, imports from FTA partner countries constituted approximately 41% of India's total merchandise imports. Imports from FTA partner countries is approximately $321.4 billion in FY26.

PLI Disbursed

The government has disbursed ₹35,354 crore to beneficiaries of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes as on March 31 this year. As on March 31, 2026, under the PLI schemes, 892 applications have been approved across 14 sectors, resulting in actual investment of over ₹2.4 lakh crore, production/sales of over ₹22.66 lakh crore, exports of over ₹15.2 lakh crore, employment generation of over 14.15 lakh (direct and indirect) out of which 8.4 lakhs is direct employment.


The pharmaceuticals sector recorded cumulative sales of over ₹3.64 lakh crore under the scheme, enabled the domestic manufacturing of 1,931 pharmaceutical products, including 191 bulk drugs manufactured in India for the first time.
