The Centre collected over thirty-two lakh crore rupees from cesses and surcharges. Indian companies are increasing overseas investments to acquire assets and new markets
The Centre collected ₹32.05 lakh crore through cesses and surcharges over the last five financial years, the finance ministry informed parliament on Tuesday.

Of the total collections, about ₹18.88 lakh crore came from cesses while ₹21.38 lakh crore has been transferred on an actuals or revised estimates basis to designated cess and reserve funds, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said, in a reply to the Rajya Sabha.

India Inc's overseas push drives FDI outflows


The increase in overseas direct investment outflow underscores the growing global aspirations and capabilities of Indian enterprises as they venture abroad to acquire strategic assets, access new markets and tap into advanced technologies, the government informed Parliament on Tuesday.

NCOL business growth

The National Cooperative Organics Ltd (NCOL), under the Ministry of Cooperation, has expanded its certified organic products business by signing agreements with state nodal agencies across 28 states and Union Territories and enrolling 14,550 cooperative societies as members.

Lens on 32 fraud cases

Minister of state for finance Pankaj Chaudhary informed the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday that the Directorate of Enforcement is investigating 32 bank fraud cases under the provisions of the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA), in which 54 accused are absconding outside the country.
