Parke Davis plot case: Supreme Court dismisses Shobhit Rajan petition
MUMBAI: The Supreme Court has dismissed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) challenging the bail granted to UK-based businessman Nazir Mussa by Bombay High Court in a matter related to dispute over 13-acre prime property in Mumbai, said a statement issued by Mussa.

Indian businessman Shobhit Rajan had filed the SLP challenging a Bombay High Court order that quashed the FIR filed by him against Mussa and freed the UK businessman on bail.

Justices Jagdish Singh Khehar and C Nagappan heard the petition and dismissed it, said Advocate Sajid Mohamed, managing partner of Agrud Partners, who appeared for Mussa in the matter.

Mussa argued before the High Court that Rajan filed the case against him apparently to hide his own acts of misdeeds and fraud to acquire control of the prime property by arm twisting his partner into submission. Mussa’s lawyers also argued that Rajan misused the police machinery to harass the UK businessman, the statement said.

The case is related to a long-standing corporate war between Arnool Jamal, a Canadian businessman based out of Kenya and Shobhit Rajan over the 13-acre land earlier owned by Parke Davis on which a massive commercial property called Logitech Park was built, the statement said.
