The lists, which have evoked the Supreme Court's skepticism, mentions names of a former Delhi CM and two serving chief ministers.
Activist lawyer Prashant Bhushan has filed copies of the seized documents in the Supreme Court and annexed the report with his petition seeking SIT probe against the politicians who were allegedly bribed by the corporate houses.
Though a bench of Justices J S Khehar and Arun Mishra held the documents “not reliable and credible“ to pass orders for a probe, Bhushan has claimed that he will bring more evidence to substantiate his allegations.
According to the documents, cash was given to the former Delhi CM and two serving CMs in 2013. Doubts have been raised over the claims of a handwritten note, also sei zed by I-T officials, with names of Congress leaders and a current minister.
Bhushan`s petition said the signature of the I-T officer was sent for forensic report by senior advocate and Member of Parliament Ram Jethmalani to find out its genuineness.
Bhushan also filed the report of Regional Forensic Science Laboratory along with his petition which came to the conclusion that the signature of the officer was not fake. He alleged that documents seized during the raid in connection with the coal scam “reportedly revealed massive bribery of politicians and officials of various ministries by Aditya Birla group over years“.
