Gaikwad interestingly is a member of the Sanathan Sanstha, while the organisation claims that it doesn't preach violence, at least two terror attacks have been traced to the group.

MUMBAI: The Kolhapur and Sangli police have arrested a 32-year-old man for his alleged role in the murder of CPI leader Govind Pansare. Pansare was gunned down by two bike borne assailants in February. Sameer Gaikwad a resident of Sangli was detained by a joint team of the Kolhapur and Sangli police from Sanglion Tuesday night and following his interrogation he was arrested. He was produced before a court in Kolhapur which has remanded him to police custody till September 23rd.

Gaikwad interestingly is a member of the Sanathan Sanstha, while the organisation claims that it doesn't preach violence, at least two terror attacks have been traced to members of the group.

Inspector General of Police, Sanjeev Kumar told the media after the arrest that Gaikwad has been a member of the Sanathan Sanstha since 1998 and that Gaikwad's wife is currently living in a Goa ashram.
