Pakur SP, 5 cops killed in Jharkhand Maoist attack
At least six policemen, including Pakur Superintendent of Police Amarjit Balihar have been killed in a Maoist attack in Jharkhand's Dumka district on Tuesday.

The Maoists heavily shelled the three vehicles, which were part of the cavalcade of the SP to ensure that everyone is killed. Around 100 heavily armed Maoists, who were informed that the cavalcade of the SP was to pass through Amrapada main road, were waiting to ambush them.
According to sources, the escort party of the SP was caught unguarded as bullets zoomed in from both sides of the road. Before the policemen could even aim their guns, the SP was killed. The Maoists fled from the site after executing their target.
However, police have launched a combing and search operation. "CRPF, and Jharkhand Jaguar forces have been rushed to the area," said the DGP adding that the border has been sealed.
So far four dead bodies have been recovered from the spot, confirmed district police.
