LAHORE: Pakistan has finalised all arrangements, including security measures, for Sikh pilgrims visiting the country for the 546th birth anniversary of Sikhism's founder Guru Nanak, officials have said.

Evacuee Trust Property Board ( ETPB) chief Siddiqul Farooq said all preparations have been made to welcome Sikh pilgrims for the annual event on November 25 in Nankana Saheb district in Pakistan's Punjab province.

Farooq told media here that the ETPB, which looks after the arrangements for the annual pilgrimage, has devised a fool-proof security plan and taken steps to ensure hassle-free transportation and stay of the pilgrims.

He said the pilgrims will start arriving in Pakistan on November 20 and spend a week in the country.

"It is our duty to facilitate the guests coming from India and elsewhere," he said.

Pakistan every year makes extensive arrangements for thousands of pilgrim visiting the country.
