Pakistan Maritime Security Agency fires at Indian fishermen, one injured

An Indian fisherman sustained injuries in firing by Pakistan Maritime Security Agency near international marine border in Arabian sea.

JAMNAGAR: An Indian fisherman sustained injuries in indiscriminate firing by Pakistan Maritime Security Agency ( PMSA) near international marine border in Arabian sea off Jakhau coast last night, officials said.

"One of the six fishermen on board, Daya Bhai, sustained bullet injuries, when PMSA personnel opened indiscriminate fire on them late last night when they were fishing in international sea," Marine police officials said today.

The vessel Sagar Bhuja belongs to Porbandar and had gone on a fishing expedition, they said, adding the injured fisherman has been admitted to a hospital in Okha.

A case has also been registered in this regard with the Marine Police station in Okha and investigations are underway.
