ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's political leaders today adopted a resolution against India, condemning the killing of two Pakistani soldiers in BSF firing.

The All Parties Conference, which met here to sort out differences over creation of military courts for speedy trial of militants, took serious notice of the incident on December 31 in which two soldiers of Pakistan Rangers were killed.

According to a statement by the Prime Minister Office, the "cowardly and unethical act" of India's Border Security Force is in complete violation of internationally recognised professional military norms and spirit of agreed border coordination mechanisms.

"This APC strongly condemns the illegal and unconscionable act of Indian Border Security Force and demands that Government of India explain the reasons for this barbaric and deceitful act.

"It also expects that those responsible will be held accountable and actions taken against them communicated to the Government of Pakistan," the statement said.

Pakistan has maintained that the two soldiers proceeded for a border flag meeting, following agreed norms of carrying a white flag.

But, it says, when they approached at the mutually agreed point, Indian troops opened fire at them due to which the duo were killed.

The BSF has said the firing was in retaliation to the killing of one of its jawans after Rangers targeted a BSF patrol party along the International Border in Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan also wrote a letter a demanding probe into the incident.
