Pakistan invites Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar to visit Islamabad
NEW DELHI: Pakistan on Friday invited Indian Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar to visit Islamabad by the end of this month replying to his letter bypassing India's demand for dialogue on terror and PoK and sticking to their old stand on Kashmir centric dialogue.

The Indian High Commissioner to Islamabad was called in by the Pakistani Foreign Secretary and a reply to the letter of the Indian Foreign Secretary was handed to him.

The letter invites the Indian Foreign Secretary to visit Islamabad by the end of this month to discuss the Jammu & Kashmir dispute, with a view to finding a fair and just solution, as per the United Nations Security Council resolutions and aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir, according to a Pak Foreign Ministry statement.

Pakistan has also called for putting an immediate end to the human rights violations against the innocent people of Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir, who are struggling for their right of self-determination, and for providing medical facilities to the injured in the Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir, including the permission for doctors and paramedics to travel, the statement reiterated.

Jaishankar in response to his Pak counterpart letter for a Kashmir centric dialogue had refused the demand and instead sought to visit Pakistan to discuss terror and the issue of Islamabad vacating PoK. He had told media this week that terror is central to ties with Pakistan.
