Pakistan: 2 killed as blasts rock Balochistan

A series of blasts rocked the capital city of Pakistan's troubled Balochistan province today, killing at least two persons and wounding seven others.

QUETTA: A series of blasts rocked the capital city of Pakistan's troubled Balochistan province today, killing at least two persons and wounding seven others.

Police said three successive blasts occurred at Sarki Road in Quetta near a police station in which two persons were killed and dozens of vehicles gutted.

A police official said that three people were injured in the first blast near the police station.

"While in the second and third blasts also people were injured," he added.

The blasts damaged vehicles in the vicinity, the official said.

Shortly after the three blasts that occurred within a span of 10 minutes, another two explosions rocked Khuzdar town in which one person was injured.

Separatists and militants frequently carry out terrorist attacks in the province which has also been hit hard by sectarian violence.
