Pak trade delegation to visit J&K on Nov 6

A Pakistani trade delegation will visit Jammu and Kashmir and meet Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad during its four-day tour, beginning November 6, to speed up trans-border trade between the two neighbouring countries.


JAMMU: A Pakistani trade delegation will visit Jammu and Kashmir and meet Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad during its four-day tour, beginning November 6, to speed up trans-border trade between the two neighbouring countries.

A 14-member delegation of Pakistan Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PFCCI), including four traders from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK), will visit the state on a four-day tour starting from November 6, the Jammu and Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JKCCI) sources said.

The delegation would hold talks and participate in a conference on 'Cross-LoC Trade' with the JKCCI members in Kashmir, who will play host to the guests, they said. They will hold similar talks with the association of traders and industries in Jammu on the final two days, they added.

The visitors would also meet the state Chief Minister and Governor S K Sinha before leaving for New Delhi, they said. Meanwhile, talks were on between India and Pakistan to finalise the launch of cross-border trade on Uri-Muzaffarabad road soon.
