Pak says shipping protocol with India beneficial Islamabad:

Addressing a meeting in Karachi on Monday Pakistan minister for ports and shipping Babar Khan Ghuari said that when the present government took over, the PNSC was at the verge of bankruptcy and had no Pakistan flag carrier. "Now we have a sizeable fleet and two oil-tankers and a bulk cargo carrier will be inducted very soon," he said.
A PNSC official who also addressed that the shipping protocol between India and Pakistan had revitalised the corporation, state run APP news agency reported. He said as a result of shipping protocol between India and Pakistan revitalized PNSC vessels have started carrying cargo and oil from India and to India to ports like Kandla, Chennai etc, he said.
He said PNSC was witnessing a real turn around and the results were being passed on to the employees.
The revised protocol which was signed last December enables vessels of the two countries to lift cargoes of a third country from each other's ports.
