New Delhi: India has objected to Pakistan using photos of Khalistani leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale in its official video on Kartarpur corridor and asserted it was ready to counter all propaganda aimed at reviving terrorism in Punjab in the garb of the corridor.

India is taking steps to counter the Pakistani propaganda, an official said. “We are dealing with a state which has a huge propaganda machinery,” the official said. Another official added that the plan to use the corridor to revive terrorism in Punjab was hatched by the Pakistan army even before Imran Khan was sworn in.

Reacting to the Pakistani video, Punjab CM Amarinder Singh said: “This is what I have been cautioning against all along: They (the ISI and Pakistan) have a negative agenda behind it. We have to be very careful.”

Union home minister Amit Shah, while sharing a video on the corridor, in a tweet said: “On 9th, let’s witness history being created as PM @narendramodi dedicates this corridor to the nation.”

The video, a precursor to the November 9 event, informs viewers about the amenities designed to help pilgrims visiting Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur.
