Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has reached 7 Race Course Road, the official residence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has reached 7 Race Course Road, the official residence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The two leaders exchanged plesantaries and posed for the photographers, before going in for a one-on-one meeting.

Zardari is on a one-day personal visit to India. His visit is the first by a Pakistan President in the last seven years.

The two leaders are expected to discuss a range of bilateral issues. There are speculations if the issue of Hafiz Saeed will be raised by Manmohan Singh.

This will be followed by a meet of the delegations over lunch.

According to TV reports, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi will not attend Manmohan Singh's lunch for Asif Ali Zardari. However, Rahul Gandhi will be present in the meeting.

After this, Zardari will go to Ajmer to pay obeisance at the Sufi shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

Earlier, Zardari was received by minister of parliamentary affairs Pawan Kumar Bansal after he landed in Delhi.

Zardari is accompanied by his 23-year-old son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who took over the reins of PPP after the death of his mother Benazir Bhutto in 2007; interior minister Rahman Malik, foreign secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani and senior officials of presidency.

Dressed in a dark pathan suit, Bilawal waved at the media.

Zaradari's convoy sped off to the Prime Minister's residence amid tight security from the airport to 7 RCR.
