Pain, jibes have strengthened resolve to come back: Manish Tewari
NEW DELHI: Ailing Union minister Manish Tewari, who is undergoing treatment at AIIMS, today said the pain, agony as well as "insults" and "jibes" have strengthened his resolve to come back.

"Four hospitalisations in 40 days, physical pain, mental agony, changes you from inside. Strengthens resolve to come back," Tewari said in a post on social networking site twitter.

The minister was apparently referring to jibes by rival party leaders, who had said that Tewari was running away from contest Lok Sabha polls.

Tewari, who had won from Ludhiana Lok Sabha seat in the last General Elections, has not been fielded by his party which has nominated former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh's grandson Ravneet Singh Bittu as its candidate from the seat.

The Union minister had earlier cited ill health as the reason because of which he is not in poll fray. Sources close to him said that the minister has been advised bed rest.
