Pahalgam attack: General VK Singh urges patience, says government taking action
Mizoram Governor VK Singh addressed the Pahalgam terror attack, urging public patience and highlighting ongoing government action. Speaking in Ujjain, the former Army chief emphasized the need for vigilance and internal focus, dismissing questions...

Asked about the cold-blooded killing of tourists in Pahalgam, Singh told reporters, "... the government is taking some action on it. We should all be patient and remain alert in future, so that if we notice anything unusual, we can detect it beforehand."
Responding to a question about Pakistan's reaction amid the tension between India and the neighbouring country, Singh said, "Why are you talking about Pakistan? Talk about our country."
Referring to the students of the university, Singh said that he has communicated to the youth, who will run the country in the future, that they need to empower themselves.
After the programme at the varsity, he also offered prayers at the famous Mahakaleshwar temple here.
Twenty-six persons were gunned down by terrorists in Pahalgam in Kashmir's Anantnag district on April 22, following which the Centre took a host of measures to punish Pakistan, including keeping the Indus Waters Treaty of 1960 in abeyance.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed to punish the attackers and those part of the conspiracy "beyond their imagination", asserting that the country's enemies targeted not merely unarmed tourists but dared to attack India's soul.
