P J Kurien to attend conference on women in Malaysia

NEW DELHI: RajyaSabha Deputy Chairperson P J Kurien will attend the third Global Women Deliver Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia beginning tomorrow.

"Kurien will attend the conference there and will be the lead speaker at the inaugural function, which will be attended by the Prime Minister of Malaysia Datuk Seri Najib Razak and several other leaders and Parliamentarians from across the globe," his office said in a release.

The conference is one of the largest global event of the decade to focus on the health and empowerment of girls and women, it said.

Kurien will also meet President of Dewan Negara (Upper House) of the Malaysian Parliament Tan Sri Abu Zahar bin Dato' Nika Ujang tomorrow.
