P.B Acharya asks Sonowal to identify and deport illegal immigrants from Assam

GUWAHATI: Assam Governor, P.B Acharya has asked chief minister designate Sarbananda Sonowal to identify and deport illegal immigrants from Assam.

Assam Rajbhavan in a statement stated, Governor asked Sonowal to work for the immediate completion of the works related to National Register for Citizens (NRC), to improve the overall security scenario, to identify and deport illegal immigrants, to strengthen relations between tribal and non-tribal people, to improve the education sector and the production and distribution of electricity and to increase the means of connectivity.

The governor called for development on all fronts including in the rural areas and said that all developmental activities should reach the common man equitably.
