Over 700 vehicles are stranded on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, which continued to remain closed for the fourth consecutive day due to heavy snowfall on Saturday, official sources said.

JAMMU: Over 700 vehicles are stranded on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, which continued to remain closed for the fourth consecutive day due to heavy snowfall on Saturday, official sources said.
Heavy and light motor vehicles including 650 trucks were stuck at different points on the highway since its closure on January 16 due to landslides and shooting stones caused by snowfall and heavy rains, they said.
Efforts were on to clear the blockades, they said, adding, the Border Roads Organisation had been working round-the-clock for clearance operation.
