Over 500 posts vacant in CAPD department: JK govt

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir government today said over 500 posts were lying vacant in the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department.

Nearly 554 posts of storekeepers and senior assistants were vacant in the department, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution minister Chowdhery Mohammad Ramazan told the Legislative Council.

The promotion quota vacancies would be filled after settlement of the dispute among the basic cadre of employees and clearance by the Departmental Promotion Committee, he said.
