On the occasion, PCC President Sachin Pilot said the BSP men have joined the Congress "unconditionally."
"Joining of BSP members and leaders would strengthen the Congress fold in a much bigger way," he said while welcoming the new members.
Not only people but small political parties including BSP were looking at the Congress with a hope that it would come to power after the next Assembly polls, he said.
Pilot alleged the BJP had come to power in the state and then at the Centre by playing the "religion" card.
"BJP's countdown has begun as people have become disillusioned with its poor working," the PCC chief said.
He said Congress has a been a strong party and cares for every person regardless of caste, creed, and religion hence those who joined will get equal respect and place in the party.
On BJP's toll free membership campaign, Pilot said it appeared to be a "miss call membership" programme.
"Congress believes in real membership program and it enrolls those who really want and deserve to be the party member," he said.
Recalling Dr B R Ambedkar, Pilot said the Congress would celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of the Dalit icon in a systematic way in the state.
