Over 25 passengers complain of uneasiness; treated at station

The train was stopped at Kasargod and the affected passengers were given preliminary medical treatment at the station by doctors, sources said.

KASARGOD: Over 25 passengers of the Ajmer-Ernakulam Marusagar Express fell ill after allegedly consuming food supplied from the pantry car tonight and were given first aid at Kasargod railway station, officials said.

The passengers felt uneasiness and started vomiting once the train left Mangalore station, officials said.

The train was stopped at Kasargod and the affected passengers were given preliminary medical treatment at the station by doctors, sources said.

The train, scheduled to arrive here at 11 pm, reached after a delay of over 80 minutes.
