Over 100 cr spent for development in JK

A sum of Rs 105.03 crore has been spent under various Centrally-sponsored developmental schemes in Jammu and Kashmir.

SRINAGAR: A sum of Rs 105.03 crore has been spent under various Centrally-sponsored developmental schemes in Jammu and Kashmir.

Giving details of it to the Estimates Committee of the assembly today, Rural Development Secretary Mohammad Sayed Khan said that Rs 37.46 crore was spent under SGRY, Rs 23.81 crore under IAY, Rs 35.11 crore under NREGS and Rs 8.65 crore under the SGSY programmes.

The Committee, headed by PDP MLA Ghulam Hassan Khan, had met to review the functioning of the rural development department.

Khan also said that under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, a cumulative expenditure of Rs 61.41 crore has been made in phase-I and II with no central share. Besides, Rs 57.78 crore has been spent under model village programme so far.
