Outgoing home minister Sushilkumar Shinde packs his bags, leaves for Mumbai
Sushilkumar Shinde today left for Mumbai, becoming the first Cabinet minister from the UPA govt to start the process of vacating his official bungalow.

Shinde, who lost in the Lok Sabha elections from Solapur, has already packed his belongings and the process of the handing over of his Krishna Menon Marg bungalow in Lutyens Zone has begun. The outgoing home minister said that, earlier, after he had ceased to be the Maharashtra Chief Minister, he had vacated his official residence within a few days.
Incidentally, outgoing Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is likely to move to his new 3, Motilal Nehru Marg residence on May 26 after the swearing-in ceremony of prime minister-elect Narendra Modi. As per rules, outgoing ministers should vacate their official residences in the capital within one month's time of ceasing to be a part of government.
