Our MPs to resign tomorrow: TDP

The TDP on Monday said its MPs will quit from their posts tomorrow following the resignations tendered by their Congress colleagues.

HYDERABAD: The TDP on Monday said its MPs will quit from their posts tomorrow following the resignations tendered by their Congress colleagues from the region on the statehood issue.

"We will meet Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar tomorrow and submit our resignations," Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party leader Nama Nageswara Rao said.

Besides Nageswara Rao, the TDP has one more MP Ramesh Rathod in Lok Sabha from Telangana.

Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation chairman M Satyanarayana Rao tendered resignation from his post after the legislators from Telangana resigned in support of a separate state.

Satyanarayana Rao, who worked as a minister and the Pradesh Congress Committee president, is a Telangana protagonist.

He sent his resignation letter to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, party sources said.
