Ottavio Quattrocchi released on bail

Sources believe that the release of Quattrochhi will make his extradition to India more difficult.

NEW DELHI: Italian businessman & Bofors-case-accused Ottavio Quattrochhi has been released on bail by Argentinean authorities, according a leading TV news channel.

Quattrochhi, detained on February 6, was released on bail on Monday. It quoted the Interpol as reacting by saying, "the bird has flown out of the cage".

According to sources, the release of Quattrochhi will make his extradition to India more difficult.

Meanwhile, the Opposition in New Delhi has accused the UPA of deliberately delaying Quattrochhi's extradition.
