SRINAGAR: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today questioned the Centre's claim of implementing the one-rank-one-pension ( OROP), saying the veterans have rejected six of the seven announcements.

"If the ex-servicemen are rejecting six out of the Defence Minister's seven announcements, how can the Govt claim to have implemented #OROP?" Omar wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.com.

"Review every five years - rejected. One man commission - rejected, VRS takers omitted - rejected, starting years proposed - rejected. OROP fail," Omar added.

Earlier in the day, Omar had hinted that the veterans should accept the "flawed" one-rank-one-pension to be announced by the Centre than getting nothing in return.

"With an imminent #OROP announcement is it time to remember #Confucius who said 'better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without'?" Omar wrote.

Meanwhile, responding to a tweet by a user, Omar asked why has every disagreement with Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government to end with going to Pakistan.

"Why the *#%^ does every disagreement with the Modi Government have to end with going to/supporting Pakistan?" he asked.

The unidentified user had said: "Those who still want more from Modi's OROP might as well have fought for Pakistan."

"Ouch! That's what you are telling the Veterans who aren't satisfied with the announcement?" Omar asked.
