Orissa to invest Rs 25,000 cr for road development

The Orissa government will spend about Rs 25,000 crore in the next five years for improving roads in the state, Chief Minister Navin Patnaik said.

NEW DELHI: The Orissa government will spend about Rs 25,000 crore in the next five years for improving roads in the state, Chief Minister Navin Patnaik said.

The government would also spend Rs 250 crore to upgrade the Bhubaneshwar Airport through Airport Authority of India, he added.

Patnaik said the government was also aiming at a quantum jump in software exports and has set a target of 500 million dollar exports by 2011-12.
