Opposition tears into 'Swaraj icon' as Arvind Kejriwal circular chains media

NEW DELHI: A circular issued by the Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government, which asks "aggrieved" government officials to report any matter which they feel is defamatory in nature, was roundly criticised by other political parties on Sunday.

"When there is criticism of the government, when its wrongdoings are exposed by the media, the CM is taking objection to that. This shows his anti-democratic attitude," said senior Congress member PC Chacko.

BJP spokesperson GVL Narsimha Rao said, "He talks about unfettered freedom of speech but he wants everybody else's throat to be throttled. This is the height of hypocrisy."
