Jitendra Singh Gangwar, Bihar Police ADG, Headquarters, told media persons that the body had deep wounds caused by a sharp object on the chest and abdomen. An SIT has been formed to probe the murder.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar spoke to Mukesh Sahani, who was in Mumbai, over phone and assured him of a speedy probe and nabbing the culprits.
"This incident is extremely unfortunate and unbearable for our entire family... This day will be known as a 'black day' for the Nishad community, but it cannot scare us," Mukesh posted on X. "We urge the Bihar government to investigate this... and ensure that the culprits are given the harshest punishment."
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav told ET: "Terror rule has been established in the state... NDA government keeps repeating the same old dialogue that there is good governance, while hundreds of people are dying untimely deaths in criminal incidents every day... If tired leaders and retired officers handle the law and order, then this will be the result."
Union minister Nityanand Rai also called up Mukesh. "Bihar government has taken the matter seriously and an SIT probe has been set up," he said.
