Jammu: Members of the opposition parties
Opposition parties in Jammu and Kashmir held a joint protest in Jammu on Tuesday to press for restoration of democracy and immediate elections in the Union Territory.

They alleged the BJP is remote controlling the region and is scared to hold elections here. The protest was held at Maharaja Hari Singh park, with participation of a sizeable number of political workers. However, National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah and PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti, both former chief ministers of J&K, could not attend the protest.
