Shah also took on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his Voter Adhikar Yatra. "You (BJP workers) know what was its aim? It was aimed at protecting infiltrators from Bangladesh. Should infiltrators have the right to vote in our country? Should they have access to all the benefits that the citizens enjoy," he asked the crowd which responded in a loud 'no'.
"Rahul baba and company want infiltrators, who are their vote bank, to be given jobs meant for our youths, pucca houses and free medical treatment we provide to our citizens," he added.
Shah made the remarks while addressing BJP workers' conclaves at Dehri-on-Sone and Begusarai. Talking about SIR, he said "the Opposition had taken recourse to similar tactics earlier when they had alleged that we were out to scrap reservations for SCs, STs and OBCs". Shah assured that the quota for SCs, STs and OBCs will not be tinkered with "as long as there is even one BJP member in Parliament".
Earlier the day, Shah met Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar in Patna.
