New Delhi: Murder of an employee of the country’s top airline IndiGo in Patna late on Tuesday has created ripples in Bihar politics with the opposition RJD launching an unrelenting attack on the Nitish Kumar government over law and order situation in the state.

Even BJP Rajya Sabha member Vivek Thakur called for a CBI probe if the case is not solved at the earliest possible even as he expressed satisfaction over the state government’s decision to constitute a special investigation team to probe the case.

Rupesh Kumar Singh, a manager at IndiGo in Patna, was sprayed with bullets inside his vehicle near the gates of his apartment building in Punaichak locality of Patna on Tuesday evening. He was returning from his office.

Leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav targeted chief minister Nitish Kumar, saying he is now a tired man who is unable to control the law and order in the state.

The RJD leader has been continuously attacking the government over the alleged rising crime graph in the state.

The chief minister has directed state DGP S K Singhal to ensure the arrest of criminals involved in this incident at the earliest possible.
