Rupesh Kumar Singh, a manager at IndiGo in Patna, was sprayed with bullets inside his vehicle near the gates of his apartment building in Punaichak locality of Patna on Tuesday evening. He was returning from his office.
Leader of opposition Tejashwi Yadav targeted chief minister Nitish Kumar, saying he is now a tired man who is unable to control the law and order in the state.
The RJD leader has been continuously attacking the government over the alleged rising crime graph in the state.
The chief minister has directed state DGP S K Singhal to ensure the arrest of criminals involved in this incident at the earliest possible.
Additional director general police Jitendra Kumar said a special investigating team has been constituted to investigate the murder.
“It is being monitored by Patna range IG, STF (special task force), CID (crime investigation department) and experts from FSL (forensic science laboratory) have been roped in for the investigation of the case,” he told ET on phone from Patna. “SIT is probing the case from all angles.”
