Open to no-trust motion against UPA govt: BJP

Though BJP did not support TMC sponsored no-confidence motion against UPA, the party is open to the idea and will take a decision on the issue.

HYDERABAD: Though the BJP did not support the Trinamool Congress sponsored no-confidence motion against the UPA government, the party is open to the idea and will take a decision on the issue at an appropriate time, a senior party leader said today.

"The party will discuss with other political parties to assess the situation and take a decision at an appropriate time. The party has an open mind (on the issue)," BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu told reporters in response to a query on moving no-trust motion against the Congress-led UPA government.

Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress had moved the no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha without the requisite numbers, he said.

Alleging that the UPA government has failed on all fronts, the former BJP President said people have lost confidence in the ruling coalition at the Centre and want to throw it out of power.
