Only a jobless man can peddle the fake jobs report: BJP to Rahul Gandhi

After Congress president Rahul Gandhi's attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over a news report on jobs in India, BJP hit back by saying that the Congress president has a myopic understanding of issues and said only someone who has never held a proper job "can peddle such fake news".

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi's criticism, BJP said: "It's clear that he has inherited Mussolini's shortsightedness and has myopic understanding of issues."

BJP said the EPFO's real data shows sharp increase in jobs, created in just the last 15 months.


"Only a man who hasn't ever held a proper job & is totally jobless can peddle such #FakeNews!" BJP said in a tweet.


Congress president Rahul Gandhi, in a tweet, had attacked the Prime Minister by saying that he promised two crore jobs during 2014 polls, but five years later a "leaked job creation report card" has revealed a "national disaster".

"NoMo Jobs! The Fuhrer promised us 2 Cr jobs a year. 5 years later, his leaked job creation report card reveals a National Disaster. Unemployment is at its highest in 45 yrs. 6.5 Cr youth are jobless in 2017-18 alone.Time for NoMo2Go," he tweeted with the hashtag 'HowsTheJobs'.

Gandhi tagged a media report which cited a report by the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) that the unemployment rate in the country is highest in 45 years.
