One man can't run NCP: Ajit Pawar camp on Sharad Pawar
The Ajit Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has raised concerns about the lack of democracy within the party and the concentration of power in the hands of one individual, referring to NCP president Sharad Pawar. They argue that...

"Appointments within the party are not being done as per elections, there is no democracy...one man cannot be deciding everything in the party," was the argument by the Ajit Pawar lawyers in the EC.
According to the argument, Sharad Pawar ran the party like he ran his house. "One man who was not elected has been appointing people," the lawyers argued. The reference was to Sharad Pawar's election as party president in 2022. The Ajit Pawar camp has questioned Pawar's election as party president, saying that the process was not transparent or democratic. They countered the Sharad Pawar camp saying there was indeed a split in the party and the EC can take a decision on the issue.
The Sharad Pawar camp, which began the arguments, questioned the merits of the points regarding Sharad Pawar's election as party president not being transparent. According to the Sharad Pawar camp, Ajit Pawar or anyone in the NCP never questioned the appointment. On Ajit Pawar camp's claim they had a majority of MLAs, lawyers for the Sharad Pawar said it needs to be verified which of the MLAs were with Ajit Pawar.
