One killed, four hurt in explosion
One person was killed and four others were injured in a grenade blast in front of a regional political party's office at the hill town of Haflong in Assam today.
Police said suspected militants hurled the grenade in front of the Autonomous State Demand Committee (ASDC) office situated in the heart of the town at 6.20 pm.
One was killed and four were injured as they were standing nearby, they said. The injured were admitted to the Haflong civil hospital, they said. The perpetrators, whose identity was yet to be established, managed to escape.
