One killed, another injured in explosion in Assam

GUWAHATI : One person was killed and another injured in an explosion near Dimow Chariali in Sivsagar district on Thursday.

A Police official said that armed militants came on a motorcycle and lobbed a grenade at office of Kamal Agarwala.

“The businessman was earlier served with ransom demand by militant outfit, Anti talk faction of ULFA. The businessman had also come under an attack a decade ago when militants fired randomly at his house," he said.


Recently, Anti talk ULFA killed five Bengali-speaking people in Upper Assam’s Tinsukia district. The outfit has later denied that it was not involved in the incident.
