One and two rupee coins through post offices
Select post offices in Kerala will soon make available Rs one and Rs two denomination coins in small lots of 100 pieces.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Select post offices in Kerala will soon make available Rs one and Rs two denomination coins in small lots of 100 pieces.
An official press release here said that the Reserve Bank of India has made arrangemnets to distribute the coins through the General Post Office here and at Head post offices in Kollam, Thiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Kanur.
In kozhikode, the facility would be available both at the Head Post Office and City Sub Post Office, it said.
There is no shortage of these coins in Kerala. This is an additional arrangement by the RBI to distribute coins.
