Longest-serving former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, who used to travel by helicopter or private jets during his 15 years of chief ministership, is now meeting the common people riding on bike, train or on road.

After losing power to Congress, Chauhan has increased his social media engagement and interaction with general public. In the last couple of days he has been seen travelling in train, celebrating birthday on road with supporters and riding motor cycle to reach a village.

Yesterday, Shivraj left his convoy and took a bike ride to travel by road to meet people in a village. A huge crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the former CM on the bike. After reaching the gathering site, villagers lifted Shivraj on shoulders.

A day before, he travelled through train from Bhopal to Bina. During this time people took selfies with former CMs. He also visited a night shelter in the capital city Bhopal and celebrated a birthday of his supporter on road.

Former CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan has also changed his Twitter profile to describe himself as 'The Common Man of Madhya Pradesh'. Shortly after resigning, Shivraj wrote on his twitter profile, "X Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, India" but later changed it to the common man of Madhya Pradesh.

Speaking at a public rally recently, he had said he will keep up his engagement with the public and will keep a hawk eye on the new Kamal nath-led Congress government in the state. "Nobody needs to worry what will happen. I am still here. Tiger Abhi Zinda Hai (Tiger is still alive)," he said, evoking the title of a Salman Khan-starrer Bollywood film.

In a close see-saw poll battle, Congress won 114 seats in the 230-member House, while BJP managed to win 109 seats.
