OMC scam: Reddy, two others seek adjournment of proceedings
HYDERABAD: Mining baron and former Karnataka minister GaliJanardhan Reddy and two other accused in the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) illegal mining case today sought adjournment of proceedings in the case.


Gali Janardhan Reddy, his brother-in-law B V Srinivas Reddy and another accused Mehfuz Ali Khan, who filed petitions in a special court for CBI cases today, sought for postponing the court proceedings till completion of investigation by the CBI in the case.

The matter is likely to come up for hearing tomorrow. While Janardhan Reddy and Mehfuz Ali Khan are presently in Bangalore jail in connection with another mining-related case, Srinivas Reddy is in judicial remand and lodged in Chanchalguda jail here.

The court is to take up arguments on framing of charges in the case in which so far three chargesheets, including two supplementary chargesheets have been filed against Gali Janardhan Reddy and six other accused.
