He will seek votes for Congress in select segments of UP, Bihar, Rajasthan and other places, and may accompany Rahul Gandhi. He is young, handsome, has impressive oratory skills and the most secular credential in India, right now, especially for a Muslim politician, a source privy of the development told ET.

Sources said the decision to get the younger Abdullah closer to Congress was not the decision of his friend Rahul but of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
