MUMBAI: Noted actor and National Film Development Corporation Chairman Om Puri will be felicitated with the Giants Awards for his outstanding achievements in the field of cinema.
Actress Vidya Balan will also be honoured with the award. The function will be held on September 17 here, a Press release issued here said on Thursday.
Among the other awardwinners are Venugopal Dhoot (Business and Industry), Nita Ambani (Education), Shirish K Bhansali (Medicine), Kartick Kumar (Music), Shachindra Tripathi (Journalism) and Purshottam Panchal (Social Service).
State finance minister Jayant Patil, BJP state president Nitin Gadkari and BJP MP Navjot Singh Sidhu will be present on the occasion.
